Nick Knight Fashion Film
Sparked by the arrival of 'Savage Beauty' in London, Nick Knight and the SHOWstudio team set about opening up his archive, searching for unused and unseen footage from his collaborations with Alexander McQueen. Sitting alongside our 'Unseen McQueen' series, Knight's tribute film to the designer - made with help from Younji Ku and Jon Emmony - features footage shot in 2010 for the tribute film, 'To Lee, With Love, Nick' and offers a new perspective on some of McQueen's most iconic designs.

This exclusive new fashion film is the latest collaboration between Nick Knight and Daphne Guinness, and a new addition to our 'Floating World' project. From 9 to 11 September 2014, shoe designer Noritaka Tatehana took up residence at SHOWstudio to create a pair of his vertiginous heel-less shoes. Nick Knight consequently shot the shoes on Guinness, a longterm champion of Tatehana. Watch Guinness float gracefully in the creations.

Since Mary Katrantzou's earliest collections, SHOWstudio has admired and championed the London-based designer. To celebrate 5 years of the brand, Nick Knight collaborates with Katrantzou on a fashion film that showcases iconic pieces from her archive. Her prints - sometimes subtle, sometimes surrealist - come alive in motion, both on Karlie Kloss and Lily Donaldson and in pioneering 3D animations by Younji Ku. Watch the film on SHOWstudio now.

Can't get enough of Mary Katrantzou? Watch a remix of sounds recorded in the designer's studio during the run-up to her S/S 14 collection. Captured noises include paper patterns being cut, zips fastening, fabric tearing, sewing machines working, gemstones russling, models' heels clicking during fittings and a fuser press opening and closing. Some sounds appear exactly as they were recorded, others have been distorted. Listen with headphones for the best experience.
