Paris Fashion Week has begun! Our upcoming schedule is packed full of exciting live panel discussions with fashion experts reviewing the shows right as they happen. We'll talk Balenciaga and Rick Owens on Thursday 27 February at 11:00 GMT and 18:00 GMT and Hussein Chayalan and Christian Dior at 11:00 GMT and 13:30 GMT on Friday 28 February. Then tune in over the weekend and next week for more in-depth chats on Celine, Saint Laurent and Miu Miu with fashion doyens such as Alex Fury, Carlo Brandelli, Tilly Macalister-Smith and Bay Garnett.

Writer Lee C. Wallick has written an essay on scent and memory to sit alongside our Maison Martin Margiela SHOWcabinet exhibition. 'Scent is our super-power when it comes to memory. It stands alone amongst our senses. Many believe it is our first to develop,' she explains. She has also interviewed the perfumers behind the Margiela Replica fragrances on their own memories of smell.

Exhibition closing
Our Maison Martin Margiela SHOWcabinet is closing on 28 February. Make sure you come down to 19 Motcomb Street, London to see the exhibition before it is too late. On show is this stunning illustration of Cara Delevingne by Alexandra Levasseur. Entitled 'Lazy Girl' and created using acrylic paint and coloured pencils on cardboard, the piece is available for £500.

Nick Knight and Amnesty International
London Fashion Week may be over but SHOWstudio's 'Proud to Protest' project isn't! Members of the fashion industry continue to oppose the prejudice and violence directed towards the LGBTI community in Russia by adding to the series of clips that form 'one voice united'. As our Maison Martin Margiela exhibition comes to an end this week, take a look at this Giant Souvenir Snowball from the Maison's Line 13 collection. The snowball was hand picked by the house to feature in their SHOWstudio exhibition, which is centred around memory. Costing £125, the giant snowball is particularly sentimental and evocative.

Nick Knight and Gareth Pugh joined forces with Amnesty International in their fight against the prejudice and violence directed towards the LGBTI community. Knight and Pugh recruited members from all different walks of the fashion industry to show their opposition to the intolerance in individual clips that, together as a series, form one united voice. LFW might be over but the fight is not: more and more individuals, from Nicola Formichetti to Liberty Ross, are joining the cause.

Love is a human right
In response to the increasing crackdown on LGBTI rights in Russia and in support of Amnesty International's campaign to raise awareness of human rights abuses in the country, SHOWstudio joined forces with Gareth Pugh to ask figures from across the fashion community to fight against the prejudice and violence directed towards the LGBTI community. Pugh and longtime collaborator Nick Knight, SHOWstudio's founder, asked respected designers, journalists, models and stylists, from Kate Moss and Giles Deacon to Henry Holland and Stephen Jones, to demonstrate their opposition to homophobia by participating in striking 20-second short videos. The first films in the series launch today, 14 February, to coincide with the beginning of London Fashion Week, which, of course, takes place while the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics are on. Also launching today is a film by Pugh and filmmaker Ruth Hogben. The work is a meditation on the themes of chaos and control, illusion and propaganda, and the need for a unified response to Russia's recent actions. Ultimately it is a call to speak with one voice: love is a human right. Show your support by creating your own balaclava clip and posting it on Twitter @SHOWstudio @AmnestyUK #ProudToProtest
