To coincide with Art Basel Miami Beach, SHOWstudio put some of the art world's most visionary creatives under the spotlight in a series of challenging conversations hosted on location at the EDITION Hotel Miami Beach. Visually conceived by Nick Knight, each subject in our 'In Your Face' interview series is captured in a beautifully composed but intensely cropped frame that focuses directly on the face and reveals every expression, blink, twitch, thought and recoil. In her interview with SHOWstudio director Carrie Scott, performance artist Marina Abramović discusses her obsession with death, the details of her own self-planned funeral and her relationship with popular culture personalities such as James Franco and Lady Gaga.
