Nick Knight and Edward Enninful straddle dark and light in this arresting couture shoot for W magazine. Drawing inspiration from the macabre, nightmarish illustrations that litter vintage childhood fiction, Knight presents a vision of Karlie Kloss that is part Grimm's fairy tale, part Parisian opulence. The haunting vintage-inspired editorial is juxtaposed with pithy death app mini films, which see Kloss suffer various violent deaths all while clad in the best haute couture from A/W 2012. To accompany our current exhibition, SHOWstudio Shop is selling 'Flora', Nick Knight's comprehensively daring volume of wonderfully composed flowers and plants. To put together the book, Knight spent over three years searching through some six million specimens at the Natural History Museum's herbarium, eventually settling for forty-six exquisite blooms.
